Simone Leigh 2017 Herb Alpert Award Recipient Goes to Venice Biennale!
Simone Leigh won the Herb Alpert Award in the Arts in 2017 for Visual Arts. She is now the first black female artist to represent the United States at the Venice Biennale. The acclaimed sculptor is bringing many ideas to Venice installing an exhibition of bronze and ceramics in the US Pavilion.
