Music Legends Herb Alpert & Lani Hall to Perform at The Grandel, August 19 

A public exhibition of Alpert’s sculptures and paintings will also be on display on August 18 in the Grand Hall at The Grandel

ST. LOUIS, June 19, 2018 – The Grandel is pleased to welcome  iconic trumpeter, composer, A&M Records co-founder, artist and philanthropist  Herb Alpert , live in concert with his wife, Grammy award-winning vocalist  Lani Hall , and their incredible band on  Sunday, August 19 at 7 p.m.  (doors open at 6:30).

Their 90-minute set will include an eclectic mix of American standards, Brazilian jazz, some Beatles, some classic Tijuana Brass and Brazil ’66 songs, as well as many surprises. The show is informal as Herb loves to answer questions from the audience about his and Lani’s music careers, A&M Records and the many iconic artists they have both worked with over the past 50 years. The 2018 tour features a giant video screen that displays many of these classic moments.

In conjunction with this exciting concert event, on  Saturday, August 18 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.,  The Grandel will host an exhibition of Herb Alpert’s sculptures and paintings, curated by Chip Tom of the Heather James Gallery, free and open to the public.
